Scope of service
What these homes
are and are not.
The Coalition operates two men's homes in Tracy. Emerson House is a transitional men's recovery home with a work requirement. Rochester House is long-term supportive housing for older men and men with disabilities.
Both are abstinence-based, drug and alcohol free including marijuana, with weekly testing, recovery meetings and shared house responsibilities. Neither home provides detox, clinical treatment, medication management or case management; residents access those through outside providers.
Detail on each homeSuitable
- Men who are already detoxed and want a sober, structured home
- Men able to carry out daily living independently
- Men willing to test, attend meetings and follow house rules
Not suitable
- Anyone needing detox or acute medical or psychiatric care
- Anyone needing help with daily personal care
- Anyone unwilling to live abstinent
Making a referral
Start with a call,
not a packet.
Call (916) 838-0020 and ask for Brian. A short conversation about the person and the circumstances will establish fit faster than paperwork.
We will tell you directly if we are not the right placement, and where we would send them instead. Addresses are shared at intake rather than published.
What intake looks likeResidents are program participants, not tenants. Please make sure the person you are referring understands that before they arrive.

Discuss a placement.
Call and describe the case. We will give you a straight answer about fit, usually in one conversation.
