Get involved
Small things
keep a house running.
The Coalition has always run on people in Tracy deciding to help.
Give
Money covers beds, food, utilities and testing. Call us to arrange a gift while we move the giving account to the new leadership.
Donate goods
Household basics, bedding, non-perishable food and working appliances. Call first so we only take what the houses can use.
Show up
Churches, employers and neighbours have kept these homes going since 2009. Work, meals, rides and time all count.
Hands are worth as much as money
A Saturday morning
goes a long way.
Fences, paint, gutters, a dead tree, a broken mower. The houses are ordinary houses and they wear out like ordinary houses do.
Men living here do most of it themselves, which is part of the point, but an extra pair of hands and somebody who owns a ladder makes a short day of it.
Or support the work
Employers
Hiring one man changes the maths.
Men at Emerson House are expected to hold full-time work, and a steady job is often the difference between leaving with a deposit and leaving with nothing. If you have work and would consider a man from the house, call and tell us what you need.
Call and ask what is needed.
It changes week to week, and we would rather tell you what the houses actually need right now.
